The demand for Chinese visas has grown rapidly in recent years. To provide a better service for visa applicants, the Chinese Embassy in India, following the success of the visa centres of other countries, decided to introduce a Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC) in 2008 and this is introduced to Mumbai by the Chinese Consulate General in March, 2009.

Operated by VFS Global Services Pvt. Ltd., CVASC is a commercial entity completely independent from the Chinese Embassy or the Consulate General, neither its visa office, nor part of it, nor its subordinate.

CVASC is responsible for receiving visa applications for visit to mainland China from ordinary passport holders who are Indian citizens and citizens of other countries possessing Indian permanent residence or work permits, collecting visa fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy or the Chinese Consulate General   and returning processed visa applications.

CVASC is operated by VFS Global Services Pvt.Ltd. Strictly in line with relevant laws of the India, CVASC takes every precaution to ensure the safety of the personal information and documents of the applicants.  

 

While providing you high quality services, CVASC kindly reminds you of the following:  

 

(1) Holders of diplomatic, service (official) passport, or applicants qualified for the Chinese diplomatic, service, courtesy visa, or journalists and media employees applying for Chinese visa, or those applying for  the Hong Kong visa/entry permit still submit their applications directly to the Chinese Embassy or the Chinese Consulate General without changes. 

 

(2) CVASC has no involvement in the visa assessment and decision- making process. Whether a visa is to be issued or not to be issued, and what type of visa to be issued as well as its period of validity, number of entry and duration of stay shall be decided by the Chinese Embassy or the Chinese Consulate General  in the light of China's relevant laws and regulations.
